A well-established, independently owned small animal practice in Stanwood, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing and genuinely happy clinical team. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and is closed on weekends. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with full-time veterinarians typically working four consecutive days per week, averaging 35–36 hours. Doctors generally arrive at 8:00am on surgery days and 9:00am on non-surgery days, take a proper lunch break, and leave by 5:00pm. Schedules are highly flexible, with many veterinarians enjoying regular three-day weekends.
Role Description and ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive general practice care for dogs and cats, with the opportunity to shape your caseload around your interests. Appointment lengths are intentionally generous, with extended consultations for sick and quality-of-life cases, allowing time for thorough medicine and meaningful client conversations. You will be supported in performing preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, and a wide range of soft tissue surgeries.
Mentorship is organic and highly accessible, making this a welcoming environment for new graduates as well as experienced veterinarians seeking collaboration or the chance to develop a niche area.
The practice is exceptionally well equipped, offering digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy for arthritis and wound care, in-house laboratory testing, electronic medical records, and AI-assisted note taking. The facility includes six exam rooms, a dedicated family comfort suite for euthanasia and quality-of-life discussions, a separate surgery suite and dental suite, two surgery tables, and two dental tables. The team is actively pursuing AAHA Accreditation or Fear Free certification in the near future, reflecting an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of care.
TeamYou will be joining a collaborative team of three veterinarians and approximately 20 support staff who work in close-knit doctor–assistant teams.
