Location: South Bend
Pay
$140,000 – $165,000 annually, DOE
ScheduleFull Time:
Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts

DescriptionThe Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) at Willapa Medical Clinic, a designated Rural Health Clinic, provides primary healthcare, patient education, and health promotion within the scope of practice authorized by Washington State regulations. The ARNP consults with the sponsoring physician or designated alternate when additional medical guidance or referral is required. The ARNP adheres to all approved policies and procedures and ensures compliance with all Rural Health Clinic requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide medical supervision of the patients treated within the department
- Access patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating and studying medical histories
- Documents patient care services in the electronic health record
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, managing wounds and infections
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests
- Refer patients to needed services that cannot be provided at the clinic
- Ensures that adequate patient health records are maintained in the electronic health record
- Participate with the supervising physician in the periodic review of patient’s health record
- Works collaboratively with clinic staff
- Communicates and works in a respectful and considerate manner with patients, families and coworkers
- Able to assign tasks and/or delegate authority in an appropriate and effective manner
- Understands and maintains confidentiality in all patient and employee relationships
- Performs within the parameters of their license
- Completes required documentation and paperwork in a timely manner; within 72 hours
- Cooperates with insurance carriers as requested in matters related to risk management and malpractice risk reduction
- Participates in quality control protocols and chart review
- Follows the clinic patient schedule
- Works collaboratively with supervising physician and Office Manager in the establishment, evaluation and revision of clinic policies and procedures
- Use a universal precautions approach in the delivery of information and education to all patients receiving care at the clinic
- Other duties as assigned Clinic Medical Director or CEO
- Current unrestricted Washington State RN and ARNP Medical License
- A Bachelor's and Master's degree of science in nursing is required
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS are required
- Current unrestricted DEA License
