Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Unit
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, the Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association, and ECU Health policies and procedures.
- Coordinate nursing care by collecting and analyzing assessment data, identifying expected outcomes, and developing and implementing a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team members.
- Identify interventions, implement them, evaluate progress toward outcomes, and document the process with sensitivity to age‑specific and unique needs.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health‑care team; collaborate with team members to meet patient/family needs throughout the episode of care; delegate tasks in accordance with the NC Nurse Practice Act.
- Diploma in Nursing, Associate’s in Nursing, or higher.
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification.
- Location/Department: ECU Health Beaufort (Washington, NC) – Surgical Unit, 27‑bed flexible unit.
- This position is part‑time (24 hrs/week) with rotating holidays and weekends.
- Benefit eligible.
- Hourly pay range for a Staff Nurse III: $41.00 – $56.38.
ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142‑bed full‑service hospital is located in Washington, NC, and is a nationally designated Primary Stroke Center. It offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinics.
