Utility Operator - Night Shift. Rotating

ABOUT ITW MEDICAL: ITW is a diversified Fortune 200 manufacturing company with a global presence across multiple industries. ITW Medical comprises three brands — Coeur, Filtertek & Precise Biomedical — supplying medical devices, components, and service to global medical device brands.

Position is a floater night shift role focused on assembly line work, injection molding machine operation, and material handling as needed. The shift is 7:00 pm – 7:00 am on a permanent rotating schedule:
Week 1:
Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat;
Week 2:
Wed, Thu, Fri. The position pays $16/hr plus a $2/hr night shift premium, for a total of $18/hr.

• General Accountability/Support: Serve as a member of ITW Medical responsible for the quality and production of machines for distribution to customers.
• Ensure every machine operates according to Manufacturing Instructions and Operating Procedures.
• Promote courtesy and helpfulness among all team members.
• Become fully trained in all areas of machine operation per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow all ITW Medical rules and regulations.
• Perform end-of-day clean-up duties as required, and any other required housekeeping.

• Duties And Responsibilities: Conduct initial inspection of manufactured parts for defects and escalate issues as required. Record shift activities using proper forms (job activity sheets, break sheets, etc.). Communicate with the shift lead and QC inspectors. Replenish raw materials. Report machine issues to technicians. Perform minor troubleshooting. Some knowledge or experience in injection molding, assembly and/or hybrid machine operation processes.

  Three years’ experience operating and maintaining automation equipment. Experience with vision inspection equipment and 6-axis robots preferred. Experience with pneumatic systems preferred. Corrected eyesight of 20/20 for visual quality inspections. Basic computer skills, data entry, proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other business software.

• Standing for approximately 90% of the shift with some movement around machine areas.
• Regularly standing, walking, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, or crawling; talking or hearing.
• Frequently lifting and moving 10–50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, color, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed in a climate-controlled medical device assembly room.
