Overview
Responsible to provide care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and other standards established by profession/professional groups, regulating bodies/agents. Nursing care will be delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity specific nursing policies, procedures and professional standards of care/practice.
Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate nursing care including collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Identify interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement the interventions, evaluate progress toward outcomes, and document the process with sensitivity to age-specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health care team. Collaborate with health care team members to meet identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care. Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
- Diploma in Nursing, Associate in Nursing or higher
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state (Health Care Provider is required)
- AHA Basic Life Support is required
- Minimum Requirements

- Pay Range:
Staff Nurse I hourly range > $33.00 - $41.80 - Offer will depend on career ladder placement (Staff Nurse I - IV)
- Location/Department: ECU Health Beaufort (Washington, NC) - Medical Unit (26 beds)
- Full-time night shift (36 hrs/week) 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center - a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.
ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.
