Program Summary
Center for Family Services operates two School Based Youth Services Programs (SBYSPs) located at Warren Hills Regional School District. SBYSPs are grant funded programs dedicated to providing resiliency‑building services such as counseling, educational support, prevention programming, recreation and enrichment, and some crisis intervention to middle school and high school students. This position is with a private, non‑profit agency providing a program within a public school and not a position with the school district itself.
The position is, therefore, subject to the agency’s calendar and not the School District’s calendar.
- Provide ongoing individual therapy and, as needed, family therapy.
- Cofacilitate various counseling groups, inclusive of both therapeutic and skill building groups.
- Provide case management services and crisis intervention as needed.
- Coordinate treatment services within SBYSP and other community agencies.
- Engage students through psycho educational presentations that serve as a prevention initiative.
- Work in conjunction with the Warren Hills School District to ensure students are receiving appropriate services.
- Collaborate with families, school personnel, and other providers to ensure the mental health needs of the client are being met.
- Complete paperwork in accordance with SBYSP’s and CFS policies and within agreed upon time frames.
- Participate in weekly supervision and bi‑weekly group supervision.
- Take responsibility for professional development and meeting licensure requirements for maintaining credentials through attendance at relevant workshops and seminars.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner, adhere to ethical standards and follow all applicable policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree from an accredited counseling/social work program in a discipline that is licensed for practice in the State of New Jersey.
- Experience working with adolescent and families.
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey to provide clinical practice.
- Valid driver’s license.
