Job SummaryThe Lead Maintenance Person ensures the proper operation, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the church, rectory, parish, office, and related facilities. This role serves as the hands‑on leader for day‑to‑day maintenance tasks and supports the parish's mission by providing a welcoming and functional environment for worship and community life.
Job Responsibilities- Facility Maintenance
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of all parish buildings.
- Identify and respond promptly to maintenance needs and emergency issues.
- Custodial Duties
- Ensure buildings are clean, orderly, and ready for services and events.
- Oversee setup and breakdown for Masses, parish meetings, and special functions.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or related trades.
- Working knowledge of basic building systems and hand/power tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work.
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and respectful of Catholic values and spaces.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
