Prefer either 100% onsite at 1100 Stafford St. Washington, MO or hybrid between Fenton office and Washington office.

Monday to Friday Schedule 9am-5pm;
Full-time / Direct Hire

Pay for this position will vary greatly on knowledge and experience.

* 3-4 years' experience and demonstrated knowledge of relevant processes $55-70k

* 4-7 years' experience and demonstrated knowledge of relevant processes $65-95k

* 7+ years' experience and demonstrated knowledge of relevant processes $90-105k

Job Description:

* Client is a growing steel fabrication shop in the St. Louis, MO market, building a reputation of a commitment to excellence and innovative solutions. Client is seeking an experienced, skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

* Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify project requirements.

* Utilize industry knowledge to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for steel fabrication projects, including Take-offs on miscellaneous and structural components, including managing, and checking other take-off producers

* Communicating with contractors, engineers, and architects to clarify scope, establishing competency, and building rapport

* Steel fabrication pricing by process and keeping updated current material pricing.

* Includes building vendor relationships with multiple materials suppliers and outsource vendors.

* Preparing thorough and detailed scope letters

* Preparing, submitting, tracking, and follow proposals from bid to award.

* Proficiently use Excel and Bluebeam for precise quantity takeoffs and pricing.

* Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitiveness.

* Contribute to the improvement of estimating structure to modernize estimating production and output.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel fabrication.

* Length and quality of experience determine eligible compensation package.

* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam.

* Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, with an understanding of scope of work to bid.

* Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Pay Range: $55k - $105k / Yearly

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
