About Us: Melton Machine and Control Company (MMCC) is a leading designer and builder of custom automated welding machines and fixtures. We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions for factory automation across various industries.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Co-Op to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in mechanical design and engineering within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the mechanical design, detailing, and documentation of automated welding machines and fixtures.
- Utilize 3D CAD software to create and modify designs.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure design accuracy and project completion.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the manufacturing and assembly processes as needed.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Junior or Senior standing preferred).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software ( e.g. Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
