The Role
Are you an innovative problem-solver with a passion for electrical design and automation? Join our team as an Electrical Designer and play a key role in creating custom equipment solutions that drive performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. This hands‑on role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams (sales, manufacturing, and assembly) on projects that push the boundaries of automation technology.
What You’ll Do- Design & develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and machine documentation for custom equipment.
- Collaborate with controls engineers to design electrical control systems.
- Support commissioning: assist with machine start‑up, testing, and debugging both in‑house and at customer sites.
- Use Electrical CAD tools to create and update electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Size and specify electrical and pneumatic components for custom machinery.
- Develop bills of materials and ensure compliance with controls standards.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for machines in the field and via remote support.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for new and replacement components.
- Education:
Minimum 2‑year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Experience:
At least 2 years in electrical design, preferably in packaging or automation environments. - Technical skills:
Proficiency in Electrical Design, AutoCAD, and Solid Works. - Bonus skills:
Exposure to PLCs, schematic design, and automation systems.
- Experience with packaging machinery and PLC programming.
- Familiarity with vision systems and dimensional analysis.
- Work on custom automation projects with a collaborative, innovative team.
- Hands‑on involvement in design, testing, and commissioning.
- Clear path to full‑time employment after 6 months.

Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.
Pay And BenefitsPay range: $30.00 - $43.27/hr.
