Electrical Designer – Custom Automation Solutions

This hands‑on role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams (sales, manufacturing, and assembly) on projects that push the boundaries of automation technology.

• Design & develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and machine documentation for custom equipment.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to design electrical control systems.
• Support commissioning: assist with machine start‑up, testing, and debugging both in‑house and at customer sites.
• Use Electrical CAD tools to create and update electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Size and specify electrical and pneumatic components for custom machinery.
• Develop bills of materials and ensure compliance with controls standards.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance for machines in the field and via remote support.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for new and replacement components.

• Education:
  
  Minimum 2‑year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience:
  
  At least 2 years in electrical design, preferably in packaging or automation environments.
• Technical skills:
  Proficiency in Electrical Design, AutoCAD, and Solid Works.
• Bonus skills:
  Exposure to PLCs, schematic design, and automation systems.

• Experience with packaging machinery and PLC programming.
• Familiarity with vision systems and dimensional analysis.

• Work on custom automation projects with a collaborative, innovative team.
• Hands‑on involvement in design, testing, and commissioning.
• Clear path to full‑time employment after 6 months.

Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.

Pay range: $30.00 - $43.27/hr.
