Overview

Job Summary:

Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington, MO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services on customer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for delivering top-quality service.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, hourly position in the Auto industry that offers a competitive salary based on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer systems on vehicles
  • Perform inspections and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
  • Use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and identify vehicle issues
  • Keep accurate records of all service and repair work performed
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and recommended services
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through manufacturer training programs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must have a full set of tools and tool box
  • Must be able to work full-time hours, including some weekends and evenings
