Ag Laborer

Location: Kittitas

The position of Agronomy Laborer is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the cooperative. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Job Summary:

These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.

* Assist customers with buying bulk fertilizer, chemicals and seed as well as delivering of grain commodities to the terminal.

* Load and Unload railcars in a timely manner as they come into the business.

* Verify that the equipment and supporting vehicles are in good working order.

* Blend and load Agronomy products

* Unload grain commodities as they are received.

* Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, or other to customer site.

* Perform warehouse work to include driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.

* Perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities.

* Complete all safety reports and required record keeping.

* Follow all company policies and procedures.

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:

* High School diploma or GED preferred.

* Maintain current license that apply to the position.

* Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

* Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public.

* Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.

* Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the location.

* Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.

* Must have a manager focus on all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.

* Must exhibit a professional and positive image.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. Does not include potential bonuses
