Job SummaryThe Production Maintenance Mechanic I role is available for a qualified individual with proven maintenance skills.
Responsibilities- Efficient preventative maintenance and repair of food manufacturing and packaging equipment, including Aseptic Fillers, Cappers, Packer and/or High Temperature Processing (HTP) equipment.
- Execute preventative, corrective and breakdown work orders under the direction of a Level II or III, Lead or Supervisor.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
- Perform planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
- Read and understand Maintenance Manuals for proper repair and care.
- Support senior mechanics in complex repairs or services.
- Protect company assets by preventing conditions that abuse equipment or buildings.
- Use general computer skills.
- Enter time, parts, and follow up into CMMS System.
- Remain current on all Alchemy, Food Safety and Package Integrity Training as directed.
- Use hand and power tools skillfully.
- Execute the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Wear PPE and adhere to all Food Safety requirements.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety requirements and maintain safety training records.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure safety in the workplace by eliminating unsafe conditions.
- Communicate (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Technical ability – general understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Methodological approach to problem solving.
- Record >80% of labor into CMMS System.
- Eagerness to learn Aseptic Filling Principles.
- Enter daily activities into CMMS System, generate work orders and execute work assigned in a timely manner.
- Approach others in a tactful manner, treat others with respect, and follow through on commitments.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; seek ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work for quality.
- Willingness to learn CMMS process.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance and/or job‑related vocational/technical degree.
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, and/or electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Excel, CMMS, and other data reporting systems.
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry.

Pay starts at $31.75/hour.
