Summary of Functions:

Supervises and coordinates the receiving of all products of inventory for all of Northern Quest Resort & Casino. Prioritizes orders for replenishments of all casino departments & oversees all orders that the leave Warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Oversees receiving function of the warehouse.
  • Monitors and adjusts staffing levels.
  • Prepares, reviews and coordinates work schedules and assigned duties to Warehouse Specialist’s to ensure efficient operation of the Warehouse data entry functions.
  • Creates, implements, and assesses training programs.
  • Conduct staff meetings of Warehouse Specialist or confers with subordinate personnel, to discuss operations problems or explain procedural changes or practices.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal and NIGC regulations and ensure an adequate internal control system is in place.
  • Responsible for all products received and either their storage and or delivery.
  • Responsible for noting any damage/missing good upon receipt.
  • Responsible for all secured items, including Gaming Supplies, in accordance with casino policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for counting and sorting and or/weighs incoming merchandise to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.
  • Responsible to ensure the completion of the receiving log for non-inventory products.
  • Responsible to ensure the picking, stacking, and unloading received goods and merchandise.
  • Responsible to ensure the operation of Tier-lift trucks or uses hand trucks and/or industrial trucks to move, convey or hoist shipments from receiving area to storage or work area.
  • Supervises the completion of Purchase Orders and receiving information to the Inventory Control Clerks
  • Responsible for the disposition of Surplus/damaged equipment for either sale or disposal.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all warehouse equipment
  • Staff Reviews for all Warehouse Specialists,
  • Responsible for workflow to determine expediency of installing new or improved equipment’s and/or procedures.
  • Ensures that highest possible standards of guest satisfaction and Team Member relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner conducive to that goal.
  • Ensure all work areas are organized and clean and products are properly stored and rotated.
  • Learns, comprehends, and complies with all casino policies and procedures, Minimum Internal Control Standards and Gaming Regulations.
  • Ensures control/protection of casino assets.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 1-20 Warehouse Specialist team members in the Warehouse Department. Caries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the casino’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure that the warehouse is always adequately staffed. Maintains exemplary attendance and work standards as a model for the department team members.

Independent discission making daily.

Experience
  • Three-years of computer data entry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with MS Office and Inventory/Purchasing Software.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3 years of warehouse experience.
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
  • Skill in assessing operation, department, and staffing needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard purchasing, receiving and inventory control policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to utilize various Bar-coding and Scanning Equipment for both receipts of goods as well as Internal Sales Orders.
