Lead Assembler

Position Overview

The Lead performs duties to produce components by assembling them according to the production processes and conducts quality inspections before shipping the completed order to the customer. The lead is also responsible for communicating expectations and tasks to their assemblers.

• Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools and is highly mechanically inclined.
• Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes.
• Installs flow meters, ECS units, hydraulics, lights and wiring.
• Operates forklift as required.
• Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
• Anticipates needed supplies.
• Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor.
• Assists in employee relations/issues as needed.
• Responsible for teaching and training staff.
• Inspections and other manufacturing quality‑related responsibilities as required.
• Ensures employees comply with safety, quality, productivity requirements and procedures.
• Complies with company rules and safety practices.
• Expected to take part in company‑wide initiatives.
• Ensures 5S standards/compliance.
• Accurately records and documents time spent on assigned work orders using the BOSS app.
• Works with engineering to solve product-specific problems as needed.
• Maintains regular/dependable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Problem‑solving skills required.
• Ability to read manufacturing instructions and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Capable of lifting 75 lbs. and standing for a 10‑hour day.
