IT Systems Specialist Warehouse Operations in Food Manufacturing

Job Summary

Our company is seeking an IT Systems & Support Specialist to support and modernize operations across industrial equipment, warehouse systems, and business technology.

This role lives at the crossroads of industrial automation, IT systems, and real-world operations. You’ll work with PLC-controlled equipment, ERP-driven workflows, scanners, tablets, printers, and custom-built apps that keep product moving and data accurate.

• Support and improve day-to-day IT and operational systems across warehouse and office operations
• Support computer and server infrastructure that interfaces with industrial systems, production equipment, and operational technology
• Maintain and enhance ERP-integrated workflows (inventory, lot tracking, orders, shipping, receiving)
• Build and manage apps (App Sheet, PHP, SQL) for warehouse, QC, and logistics teams
• Develop dashboards and reports for operations, accounting, and management
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a fast-paced environment
• Automate manual processes where possible (data syncs, calculations, reporting, integrations)
• Collaborate directly with warehouse staff, drivers, and management to translate real needs into working solutions

• Experience supporting industrial or warehouse operations
• Hands-on exposure to PLC-controlled equipment
  • Familiarity with industrial control concepts (I/O, sensors, relays, interlocks, safety circuits)
  • Not required to design complex PLC systems from scratch; but must be able to support, diagnose, and collaborate
• Strong troubleshooting mindset across hardware and software
• Comfort working in both office and production floor environments
• Experience with ERP systems or complex operational software
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions
• Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable owning systems end-to-end

• App Sheet, Power Apps, or other no-code/low-code platforms
• Python, scripting, or automation experience
• Raspberry Pi or embedded systems experience
• Networking basics (VLANs, switches, DHCP, firewalls)
• Experience integrating systems via APIs or ODBC
• Familiarity with logistics, trucking, inventory, or agricultural operations

• Industrial / production environment plus office work
• Small team, high trust, minimal bureaucracy
• Systems matter because production depends on them
