GVI, Inc. seeks a Supply Technician to provide logistics and technical support on behalf of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport
.
- Develop and maintain the procurement plan in alignment with project schedules and requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to acquire necessary equipment, software, and services.
- Track procurement status and manage purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and secure delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor the condition of items in storage and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of PHS&T activities, including inventory levels, storage conditions, and transportation logs.
- Track and document configuration changes, updates, and upgrades to maintain system integrity and reliability.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration management processes to ensure compliance with NAVSEA standards.
- Maintain a baseline configuration control and Change Control Board (CCB) records for all system components.
- Prepare and maintain required logistics documentation, including support plans, user manuals, and training materials.
- Generate regular reports on logistics activities, status updates, and performance metrics for project stakeholders.
- Maintain records of all logistics transactions and communications for audit and review purposes.
- Knowledge of NAVSEA Logistics Systems and Procedures
- Familiarity with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)-specific logistics processes, standards, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in Procurement Systems
- Experience with tools like Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) for managing procurement activities, contracts, and tracking orders.
- Competence in Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Processes
- Understanding of packaging, handling, storage, and transportation protocols, including compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Configuration Management Expertise
- Experience in using Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) or similar tools to track and document system changes and updates.
- Excellent Documentation and Reporting Skills
- Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and managing logistics documentation, reports, and records using tools like Microsoft SharePoint, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and Electronic Document Access (EDA).
- Effective Communication and Collaboration Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with vendors, suppliers, cross‑functional teams, and stakeholders using communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.
Compensation: $34.58 + $4.93 H&W
