The Sr Data Engineer designs and develops data architectures in on‑premise, cloud and hybrid platforms. The Sr Data Engineer collaborates with Data Engineers on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions. This role mentors other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets.

• Develop data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, visualization and analytical tools
• Design and develop data architectures in on‑premise, cloud and hybrid platforms
• Data wrangling of heterogeneous data, exploration and discovery in pursuit of new business insights
• Actively contribute to the team’s knowledge and drive new capabilities forward
• Mentor other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets
• Assist team management in defining projects, including helping estimate, plan and scope work
• Prepare and contribute to presentations required by management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related subject area or equivalent experience (Required)
• 4-7 years developing cloud solutions using data series; experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• 4-7 years hands‑on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms
• 4-7 years experience in SQL, No
  
  SQL, and/or relational database design and development
• 4-7 years advanced knowledge and experience in building complex data pipelines with Python, and experience in languages such as SQL, DAX, Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go

• Cloud platform certification(s) i.e. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Preferred)

• At least 18 years of age

$105,100 - $189,600. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non‑temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year‑end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
