Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Environment, Safety and Health Engineer. In this role you will learn the basics of the site ESH program and site operations, including fall protection, LOTO, confined space, hazard communication, PPE, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, incident investigation, and how these subjects apply to site operations.

• Interact with EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with handling hazardous waste, including sealing, labeling, and managing hazardous waste containers.
• Write and update ESH command media and procedures.
• Familiarize with California Hazardous Waste & California Air Resource Board Regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college/university in safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene such as Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, or related.
• Obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Clearance, pass a drug and background check, and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds, work outdoors in inclement weather, and be on your feet for long stretches of time.
• Work on-call and varied shifts on occasion.
• U.S. Citizen.

• Knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulations.
• Experience in environmental health and safety subject areas such as fall protection, LOTO, confined space, hazard communication, PPE, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, incident investigations.
• Experience managing ESH programs in manufacturing, production, or DoD environments.
• Hazardous waste management experience/knowledge.
• Write and update ESH command media and procedures.
• Analyze complex technical data from chemical data sheets and environmental health surveys using logical and quantitative reasoning.
• Deliver oral presentations that persuade others to accept specific actions or opinions and explain procedures and policies clearly.
• Support field operations and work independently after 6 months of employment.
• Familiarize with California Hazardous Waste & California Air Resource Board Regulations.

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: TS/SCI.

Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week to condensed schedules, which provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to paid time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position varies by state. For California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC it is $54,900 – $96,830.
