Seabrook is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team and help lead the evolution of our people operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions while also driving strategic initiatives that support employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will take a hands‑on approach to a wide range of responsibilities including employee relations, compliance, performance management, talent development, and process improvement.

This role operates in a hybrid work model, with consistent on‑site presence to support collaboration and business needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to build scalable, inclusive, and efficient HR practices that align with Seabrook’s mission and values.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Lead and manage the day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring smooth and efficient HR service delivery across all levels of the organization.
  • Administer and support core HR programs including payroll, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary processes, investigations, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to both HR staff and organizational leadership, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team culture.
  • Oversee the full‑cycle recruitment process—recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates. Collaborate with department leaders to assess staffing needs and role requirements.
  • Conduct or coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a welcoming and consistent new hire experience.
  • Develop and maintain employee recognition initiatives to promote engagement, retention, and morale.
  • Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and others.
  • Track and document compliance‑related activities such as mandatory training, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
  • Support and advise on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Handle general HR inquiries from employees and supervisors, escalating sensitive or complex issues as necessary.

    Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures that reflect organizational goals and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize HR systems and tools to enhance data management, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred: SHRM‑CP, PHR, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and a data‑driven approach to HR management.
  • Knowledgeable with Google Workspace and HRIS software, ADP experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
  • All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and walk moderate distances.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
