Seabrook Hospitality is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Banquet Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a leader in the hospitality industry, we take pride in creating memorable moments for our guests through our commitment to quality and innovation. The Lead Banquet Cook will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our banquet events by overseeing the preparation, presentation, and quality of our banquet dishes.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with the Events team to plan and develop creative and diverse banquet menus.
- Ensure that menus align with client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of banquet dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor food presentation and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste and visual appeal.
- Lead and motivate the banquet kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain the highest standards of food quality.
- Oversee kitchen operations during banquet events, ensuring smooth coordination between various kitchen stations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a well-organized and clean kitchen environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience. - Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Banquet Cook or similar role in a high-volume culinary environment.
- WA Food Workers Card required.
- All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to stand for entire shift.
$23.00 per hour + tip share
