Certified Behavior Technician I – Seattle Children’s
The Alyssa Burnett Adult Life Center (ABC) is a lifelong learning and community space for adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ABC is dedicated to providing high‑quality enrichment, life‑skills training, recreation, and social connection through a wide range of in‑person, community‑based, and virtual programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide behavior intervention and skill‑development curricula to individuals and families/caregivers of people with developmental, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral challenges within a behavior‑analytic program.
- Deliver interventions and curricula in individual or small‑group settings under the supervision of a Qualified Healthcare Professional (e.g., Behavioral Analyst I/II, Psychologist, Clinical Supervisor, or Clinical Director).
- Collect data on programs and skills, provide oral and written updates on patient progress, and assist in discharge‑planning activities.
- Collaborate with program leadership on special projects as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, special education, psychology, communication disorders, or a related field (or equivalent education and/or experience).
- One year of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families/caregivers.
- WA State Certified Behavior Technician Credential (CBT).
- Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and/or Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) are accepted in lieu of CBT.
- Safety Care Certificate (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
- Bilingual skills.
- Experience working with caregivers and families.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Experience navigating multiple hospital systems.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the BACB.
- One year of experience working with neurodiverse individuals.
Hourly rate: $29.16 – $43.73 (based on 2080 hours worked per calendar year).
