Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for 12-hour night shifts at an off-campus emergency department, requiring BLS and ARDMS certifications and the ability to perform x-ray procedures.
Responsibilities- Work in a 10-bed, off-campus emergency department radiology unit
- Primarily serve ER patients in a small, acute care environment
- 1:1 patient ratio for imaging cases
- Requires proficiency in both ultrasound and x-ray procedures
- Uses Epic EMR and PACS imaging systems
- 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations
- On-call may be required
- Schedule options from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- No floating to other units
- Primary responsibility is conducting diagnostic ultrasound and x-ray imaging for emergency department patients as the sole technologist
- Support available from other locations as needed
- 2-5 days of orientation provided, including NEO
- Scrub color is variable; inquire for specifics
- Free parking provided on-site
- Time off requests will be reviewed by the manager
- Holiday coverage is expected
- Active BLS certification required
- ARDMS certification required
- RVT certification preferred
- Must be able to perform both ultrasound and x-ray procedures
- Experience in an ER or acute care radiology setting preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred
- Will consider first-time travelers who meet all skill requirements
- License required if applicable
