Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with BLS and ARDMS for night shifts in an off-campus emergency department setting.

• Work in a 10-bed off-campus emergency department with acute care patients
• Patient population primarily consists of emergency cases in a small, fast-paced environment
• 1:1 patient ratio ensures focused ultrasound and x-ray care
• Must also perform x-ray imaging in addition to ultrasound duties
• Uses EPIC EMR and PACS imaging systems
• 12-hour night shifts from either 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation is required
• Potential for on-call shifts
• Holiday coverage is expected
• No floating required to other departments
• Most shifts are worked solo with additional departmental support available remotely
• 2-5 days of orientation provided at the start of the assignment
• Scrub color requirements are variable
• RTO (time off) requests must be approved by the manager
• Free parking available on site

• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS and RVT certification preferred
• Ability to perform both ultrasound and x-ray responsibilities
• Minimum experience requirement is variable, but experienced candidates are preferred
• First-time travelers considered if all technical requirements are met
• Experience with EPIC EMR and PACS is beneficial
• License required if applicable
