Lake… service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Direct care staff provide 24‑hour nursing care, full therapeutic programs, and recreation/activities to empower residents. Your role will deliver professional‑level Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) including nutritional assessments, counseling, therapeutic plans, and nutrition education. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support residents’ success. Workdays Monday through Friday with flexible hours; hybrid schedule may be considered.
MajorDuties
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to establish an appropriate nutrition diagnosis.
- Utilize MNT to formulate therapeutic diets and nutrition support plans for various clinical pathologies such as diabetes, obesity, renal dysfunction, cardiovascular needs, geriatrics, oncology, metabolic disorders, eating disorders, and nutrition support services.
- Provide nutrition counseling, education, and classes as appropriate.
- Represent nutrition‑related interests and advocate for nutrition‑based goals as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in the quality assurance/performance improvement process, focusing on evaluation of foods served for compliance with policies and standards related to food safety, therapeutic goals, and texture/consistency attributes.
- Promote wellness, maintenance of current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence‑based practices.
- Independently maintain relevant electronic records.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field, or Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligibility for registration at the time of hire; must pass the registration examination within one year of hire.
- Washington Dietitian Certification.
- Current Certified Dietitian license through WA Department of Health.
- Active Registered Dietitian Credential (CDR) with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Detailed chronological resume.
- Cover letter.
- Minimum of three professional references.
