The City of Chelan operates under the Mayor-Council form of government, serving a population of 4,580 across 7 square miles with a 2025 operating budget of $23.1 million, a capital budget of $9.3M, and a team of 63 FTEs. Departments include Community Development, City Clerk, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Parks & Recreation, Public Works, and Airport. The City is in an excellent financial position based on a strong and growing economy stimulated by tourism, agriculture, development and very positive retail/commercial activity.

The City of Chelan is looking for a talented and visionary leader to guide the operations, services, and strategic initiatives of this vibrant and growing community.
The City Administrator will work with a supportive Mayor and Council and an excellent team of dedicated staff that share a love for the community. The Administrator must be solution oriented, relationship-driven, and passionate about public service with demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing forward‑looking strategies. The current Administrator is retiring, and the City is seeking an individual that views this role as a long‑term career opportunity.
