About the roleField Application Engineer (Power) will work with BGs, internal stakeholders, and customers to understand and respond, from a detailed technical perspective, to customers’ power requirements and challenges as they relate to Delta’s products. All aspects of technical development fall under the FAE’s responsibility, working closely with the PM and Account Manager and fostering a trusting relationship with customer contacts will be vital to success in this position.
The job is based in Delta’s Fremont, California headquarters.
- Strong communication and organizational skills:
Ability to build trust with our customer so that they feel free to discuss their issues freely, and to share potential solutions they would like to see explored. - Ability to work with BU/BG as well as Account Management to communicate project status & any technical issues for resolution with as much detail as possible, in both technical terms (engineering) and high-level terms (business) with the aim of securing additional business opportunities for Delta.
- Build and maintain relationships with key OEM/ODM customers so they call you first whenever they have a new opportunity.
- Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge in AC/DC and DC/DC technologies, including modules, silver‑box, power shelves, cold‑plate cooling options, and willingness to explore additional technologies as they emerge.
- Work closely with BU/BG in Asia to follow project status, perform testing, and present simulation data to customers with a focus on understanding customer expectations and working to ensure internal teams hold to those standards.
- Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Quick learner and flexible to adopt company working culture and processes.
- Professional and/or educational experience in power electronics, Solutions Engineer, or similar role in IT Company.
- Bachelor’s degree in EE is required;
Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Self‑driven and results oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- 20% travel required with overnight stays.
- Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and effective presentation skills.

The base salary range for this full‑time position is ,000 per year depending on experiences and degree. Actual pay will depend on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, and business needs. This role may also be eligible for incentive pay, subject to the terms of the applicable plan. Eligible employees receive company‑provided benefits in accordance with plan terms and eligibility requirements.
