Para educator Positions i.e. Special Educator/Title/Lap/Media Tech:
In order to meet compliance you must meet the job requirements before your first day of work. This means 72 quarter credits from a college or university OR passage of the ETS Test (available through ESD 112). It is also required to provide a copy of your HS Diploma. These upload fields are mandatory. If you are in the process of obtaining these documents please upload a letter of explanation.
What is a Certificated Philosophy Statement?
Please upload a document explaining your philosophy of education with particular emphasis on the grade level(s) of application. Also, identify your professional goals for the next five years.
Extra Curricular positions require documentation of current First Aid and CPR certification. If you are in the process of obtaining certification, please upload a document to that effect in place of the First Aid/CPR attachment.

- Retirement eligibility is determined by the State of Washington. Basic requirement for TRS is 5 months of 70 or more hours of compensated employment per month during a school year. Basic requirements for SERS are 5 months of 70 or more hours of compensated employment per month during a 12-month period, expected to last two years initially.
It is possible to be SEBB eligible without being retirement eligible. They each have their own eligibility requirements.
Certificated staff receive a base contract, start up days, and enhancement funds. More can be found in the certificated collective bargaining agreement ksd.org under the employment icon.
All positions receive sick and personal leave as prescribed by CBA. Some positions receive vacation if year round.
