• Applicants for this position must be willing to work 8:30am – 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
• Must be willing to assist in required personal care routines.
• Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field!
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher‑created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data.
• Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
• Establish positive and effective family relations through professional communication.
• Proficient with inter‑personal communication between children, peers and parents.
• Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard play‑based educational philosophy.

• A degree or certification in Education or Early Childhood Education or an Education related field.
• An active Merit account – Washington’s Professional Development & Workforce Registry.
• A approved Portable Background Check (through Merit).
• Applicants must be willing to commute to The Goddard School in Redmond Ridge.
• The following required prerequisites: 30‑hour Childcare Basics certificate, a negative TB Test, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, all required DCYF training courses, and proof of MMR immunization.

Compensation: $20.50 – $25.00 per hour
