Overview

Snow sports instructor role at PSIA-AASI Western Region. Mohan Skiing and Boarding continues a 64-year tradition of providing outstanding snow sport experiences for our guests. Join us at Snoqualmie Central to be part of the team.

We are seeking outgoing, energetic individuals who are passionate about sharing their love for winter sports with our guests. You will teach group and private skiing and/or snowboarding lessons to students in K-12th grades and adults, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. These positions require a passion for snow sports and the ability to inspire and guide students on varied terrain in winter conditions.

Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing preseason training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Teach skiing and/or snowboarding to groups and individuals, creating a safe and fun learning environment through effective class handling and creative instruction
  • Understand, adhere to, and educate guests on the Responsibility Code and Skier Safety Act
  • Work with guests of all ages, with a focus on children
  • Provide guest experiences that inspire and creates lifelong skiers and riders
  • Continuously improve teaching, technical, and skiing/snowboarding skills by participating in developmental training
  • Ten-to-twelve-week commitment including pre-lesson training (depending on experience)
Qualifications
  • Ability to ski/ride groomed blue terrain comfortably and under control or willing to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English
  • Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable
  • Willing to work in various types of inclement weather
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Own and maintain up-to-date skiing/snowboarding equipment
