Alder & Ash Interiors is a Washington, DC–based luxury home staging and interiors studio. We create intentional, refined spaces that help buyers emotionally connect with a home. Our work is highly curated, thoughtful, and detail-driven, and our operations need to be just as strong behind the scenes.

Role overview

We are seeking a hands-on Inventory & Staging Operations Assistant to help build, organize, and maintain our staging inventory systems. This role will play a key part in cataloging and organizing our inventory as we move into a new storage space. In the beginning, the focus will be on hands-on inventory setup and system building. Over time, the role will shift into ongoing organization and support as staging volume grows.

This is a part-time, on-site role best suited for someone who enjoys physical, structured work and takes pride in keeping systems clean, organized, and functional.

• Catalog, tag, and photograph staging inventory
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas
• Support inventory organization during a storage move
• Track inventory condition, usage, and locations
• Prepare inventory for staging installs and destages as needed
• Add new inventory items into the system as they are purchased
• Occasionally assist with sourcing or pickup of inventory items

• Are highly organized and detail-oriented
• Enjoy hands-on, physical work
• Can work independently and manage tasks without constant direction
• Are methodical, patient, and reliable
• Are comfortable working in a warehouse or storage environment

• Ability to lift and move light to medium furniture and decor
• Work with equipment to move heavier furniture and decor.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and working on your feet
• Prior experience with inventory, warehouse operations, retail operations, or staging support is a plus, but not required

• Part-time, W2 position
• $22–$28 per hour, based on experience
• 10–20 hours per week initially, with increased hours during inventory setup and storage move
• On-site role in the Washington, DC area
