Overview

Lead. Train. Build Something Bigger. We’re looking for a Fitness Manager who’s ready to step into a revenue-driving, relationship-focused leadership role inside a fast-growing boutique fitness studio in Washington, DC. This isn’t a class-heavy coaching job. This role is about personal training, fitness consultations, lead follow-up, and member conversion, while helping elevate standards, culture, and the overall fitness experience  you love working 1:1 with clients, selling training in a consultative way, and being a strong presence in the gym, this is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Training, Consults & Sales
    • Conduct fitness consultations, assessments, and goal-setting sessions
    • Present and sell personal training packages based on client needs
    • Deliver high-quality personal training (boxing, strength, conditioning)
    • Build customized programs and track client progress
    • Retain PT clients through results, accountability, and relationships
  • Lead Follow-Up & Conversions
    • Follow up with new leads via phone, text, and email
    • Book and conduct intro sessions and consults
    • Convert trials into memberships and personal training
    • Re-engage inactive leads and past members
    • Track outreach, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM
  • Member Experience & Retention
    • Create an exceptional member experience from first visit through long-term retention
    • Act as a primary fitness point of contact for members
    • Check in with members regularly to support goals and progress
    • Identify upsell opportunities (PT, challenges, workshops) in a genuine way
  • Leadership & Studio Presence
    • Help uphold training quality, safety, and brand standards
    • Support onboarding and ongoing development of coaches as needed
    • Collaborate with ownership and the front desk on sales, retention, and studio initiatives
    • Support events, challenges, and new programs
    • Coach group classes only as needed (not the primary focus of the role)
Qualifications
  • What We’re Looking For
    • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent)
    • Strong experience with personal training and fitness consultations
    • Sales-minded but relationship-first (“sell without being salesy”)
    • Confident communicator with excellent follow-up skills
    • Organized, reliable, and comfortable in owning results
    • Leadership mindset with a desire to grow with the brand
    • Boxing experience preferred

Compensation

$50,000 - $60,000 yearly
