Neal R. Gross & Co. (NRGCO) is a Washington, DC based Court Reporting and Transcription company. We have been in business for over 40 years and provide verbatim court reporting and transcription services to a broad range of government and private clients. We are looking to add legal and general transcribers for all types of work: trials, administrative hearings, historical and investigational interviews, and meetings.
This is IN-PERSON position. Legal transcription experience is preferred. Timeliness is a must, as are excellent English language skills. Please apply only if you can transcribe at least 3 days a week.
Audio, notes and a format will be provided to you and you will be required to transcribe them accurately and in a timely fashion and in accordance with the provided format and then send us the completed verbatim transcript.
The person who obtains this role MUST be able to achieve security clearance and be willing to go through an extensive background check.
Requirements- Excellent command of English language
- Accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proofreading of all work before turned in
- Must be a US citizen
- AAERT certification is a plus
- Must type at least 60 WPM
Compensation based on experience ranging from $25 to $50 per hour. Hours may vary.

This position requires you to transcribe in our Washington DC Office located on 14th Street NW about 5 blocks from the U-Street Metro Station.
Must be willing to work in secure environment. Previous security clearance is a plus.
