Java Developer III w​/Top Secret Clearance

A3 Consulting LLC is looking to hire a Java Developer III for our government client. The experienced Java Developer will be responsible for leading a team of other java developers on designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications. • Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications.
• Architect solutions for complex business problems using Java and related technologies.
• Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on the development team.
• Resolve complex problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Optimize performance of applications through tuning, caching, and efficient algorithms.
• Act as team lead on projects.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and security best practices.
• Participate in development of software user manuals.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into development processes.

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a java developer.
• Demonstrated understanding of system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques.
• Experienced in Dev Ops best practices.
• Familiarity container platforms for custom built application (Docker, Open Shift, etc.).
• Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Event-driven APIs (e.g., event mesh) and libraries (e.g., Vue)).
• Strong knowledge of Java coding standard and best practices, design patterns, and code optimization techniques.
• Experience with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, Jet Brains, Intelli
  
  J, Net Beans).
• Experience creating external modules and packages.
• Experience with at least one of the common Java build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle – familiarity with all of these is a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical documentation.

• Active Top Secret or the ability to obtain an interim Top Secret

• The salary range of this position is $150,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
