Power Apps Developer

Avid Systems is growing! We’re seeking a Mid-to-Senior Power Apps / Power Pages Developer with strong front-end expertise and a solid software engineering foundation to help us deliver modern, secure, data-driven web portals for mission-critical clients.

Avid Systems is a Washington, DC–based IT solutions firm specializing in Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Azure. We design and deliver modern applications for both public‑ and private‑sector clients, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and user experience.

The Mid-to-Senior Power Apps / Power Pages Developer will lead the design and development of secure, scalable portals using Microsoft Power Pages. This role blends low‑code expertise with professional software development, requiring deep knowledge of Dataverse, C#, and modern front‑end technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of technical solutions, mentoring junior developers, and working closely with clients to translate business requirements into high‑performing applications.

• Architect, develop, and deploy modern, secure Power Pages web portals integrated with Microsoft Dataverse.
• Build and optimize C# plugins, custom workflow activities, and Azure Functions to extend Dataverse and enforce business logic.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with external systems via REST APIs, Power Automate, and Azure services

• Configure authentication, roles, and access control (Azure AD B2C, OAuth 2.0, SAML).
• Ensure best practices in software engineering: modular design, code reuse, version control, and documentation.
• Participate in Agile teams, contribute to sprint planning, and provide technical leadership.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to performance, security, and functionality.

• 5+ years of professional development experience
  , including 5+ years with Power Platform, Power Pages and D365
  .
• Proficiency in C# for Dataverse plugins and custom logic
  .
• Strong understanding of relational data modeling and Dataverse.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Power Platform with REST APIs and third‑party systems
  .
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, SAML).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and client‑facing collaboration skills.

• Experience across Power Platform:
  Model‑Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power BI.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
  .
• Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory).
• Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-200, PL-600, AZ-204) highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small development teams.
