Sr. Salesforce Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Sr. Salesforce Developer to their client’s Salesforce Administration and Release Management team. 20% of this person’s time will be daily/weekly meetings with the other developers on the team to learn about the organization and the tasks they are currently working on. They will be responsible for the development of change requests/user stories including apex classes and triggers, integrations, lighting, flows and other Salesforce configuration as needed.

They will perform certificate updates and related system adjustments to ensure all integrations continue to function securely and without interruption. They’ll partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders who request things such as salesforce optimization and performance improvements, system maintenance tasks, migrations from legacy automations such as Process to Flow and hotfixes requiring immediate deployment to production. They will also be responsible for supporting complex system optimizations, including deployment automation, release improvements and overall environment stability.

An example of something they might need to work on is identifying and remediating platform issues, such as locating all system components using blocked email addresses/URLs to prevent integration failures or order‑creation issues. This team has grown over the past year and is expecting more growth this year.

• 5+ years of hands on Salesforce development experience, with a strong focus on building scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Apex (classes, triggers, integrations, asynchronous processing, test classes).
• Strong experience with SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) for efficient data retrieval and query optimization.
• Proficient using Visual Studio Code as the primary IDE or similar Salesforce optimized development tools.
• Experience with Copado for release management.
• Solid understanding of version control systems (Git, Git Hub, Bitbucket, Azure Dev Ops), including branching strategies and code review processes.
• Background in managing or optimizing release management processes, ensuring smooth and reliable deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code and processes.
