This position plays a vital role in implementation of Aramark’s Be Well. Do Well. Sustainability plan as well supporting our campus sustainability efforts and serving as a liaison to the campus community.
In alignment with the University’s sustainability priorities and Be Well. Do Well., the Sustainability Coordinator will work with field operation teams to implement standard operating sustainability procedures and practices in the areas of waste reduction, sustainable food sourcing, education and engagement, and efficient operations. The candidate will manage the overall sustainability program for dining operations, and work with the onsite marketing team and dietitian to communicate results.
The position directly contributes to sales growth, market penetration, and customer satisfaction. This person will educate both the dining team and the campus community on sustainability concepts, frameworks and programs and how these programs impact people and planet. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience implementing sustainability programs and a strong interest in food systems, environmental impact, and higher education.
Hourly rate: $30.00 to $32.00.

Job Responsibilities- Host educational tabling events around campus and at dining locations, including events promoting local foods, plant‑forward eating, waste minimization, and composting.
- Create educational marketing materials for distribution to the student body and write content for the website and newsletter.
- Support long‑term projects, such as waste auditing and food recovery.
- Implement a comprehensive waste minimization strategy and program.
- Work with operations team on energy and water consumption, including green building elements.
- Serve as department liaison to campus and external community for sustainability‑related efforts.
- Engage dining team to develop, implement, and manage campus sustainability solutions and elevate effectiveness of program/project functions.
- Research sustainability initiatives and best practices around the country and evaluate current sustainability programs at the university level.
- Maintain effective client and customer rapport; identify client needs and respond appropriately.
- Supervise, lead, train and monitor activities of dining services staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and 1–3 years of related experience; or any equivalent experience and education combination.
- Must possess the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management & build strong team and client relations.
- Experience with composting, recycling, and food recovery programs.
- Basic data analysis skills or experience using tracking software.
- Possess passion for sustainability efforts.
