The Donohoe Companies is seeking a full-time licensed Plumber to support a large facility in Washington, DC. The Plumber will oversee and manage all building plumbing issues. This may involve isolating leaks, shutting off water, replacing bathroom fixtures, and replacing pipes and valves. Plumber will be part of the evening maintenance team and may be asked to support with other small maintenance tasks as needed.
Previous experience as a commercial plumber is preferred. Candidate does not need a master plumber license.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 2 PM to 10 PM.
- Prepare work plans for site activities
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems and associated hardware and equipment
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems and ancillary hardware and equipment
- Install plumbing systems, piping, and associated hardware and equipment according to specifications and schematics provided by engineering work orders
- Place or remove plumbing systems, hardware and equipment as required
- Perform preventative maintenance of plumbing systems on an assigned basis
- Purchase materials and supplies as required for timely work completion
- Interface with site managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
- Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Must possess a current and valid Journeyman license
- Must pass background check
- Must have not less than six (6) years of experience in a single building of comparable size, type, and complexity (2 million sq. ft.)
- Shall have completed vocational and technical training in plumbing/pipe-fitting maintenance and service work
- Must possess an ability to identify common causes of plumbing failures
- Ability to coordinate effective PM scheduling
- Ability to establish routine testing procedures
- Must possess an ability to apply PM strategies and techniques such as RCM, RMP, and Root cause failure analysis
- Must possess an ability to meet project deadlines on-time
- Must possess an ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work as required
- A demonstrated working knowledge of plumbing systems and an ability to understand and utilize plumbing drawings is required
