Lead HVAC Technician role at NPAworldwide
. A well-established mechanical services contractor operating across the DC Metro Area is looking for a skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Technician to take charge in the field. This role is ideal for a senior technician who enjoys solving complex HVAC challenges while guiding and supporting a team to deliver outstanding results. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency across residential and commercial HVAC projects, acting as both a technical expert and a hands-on leader.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and supervise HVAC technicians on-site
  • Perform advanced HVAC installations, maintenance, and repair work
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently
  • Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and professionalism
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Manage tools, materials, and inventory for assigned projects
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections
  • Complete service reports, job documentation, and time tracking accurately
  • Support scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of field teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support when required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal HVAC training preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • EPA Section 608 Certification is required
  • Proven leadership skills with a problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass required drug screening
