Position: Senior Fire Alarm Technician (Troubleshooting & Programming)

Career Staffing Talent (CST) has partnered with a well-established and growing fire protection company specializing in fire alarm installation, programming, and service. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician who thrives in troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and complex system work
.

This is a hands-on role for a technician who can diagnose issues, bring systems online efficiently, and work confidently in commercial and industrial environments.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems from start to finish
  • Troubleshoot system issues
    , faults, and communication problems to resolution
  • Program and service non-proprietary fire alarm systems
  • Configure and program cellular communicators
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontracted ESD programmers for proprietary systems
  • Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and test records
  • Partner with project managers to deliver systems on time and to spec
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of hands-on fire alarm installation, programming, and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes, commissioning procedures, and system diagnostics
  • NICET II or higher (preferred, not required)
  • Must be willing to sit for and pass NICET (company pays for training & testing)
  • Comfortable working with vendors on proprietary systems
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating or supporting ESD programming
  • Commercial or industrial project experience
  • Familiarity with construction jobsite workflows and safety standards
  • $37–$45/hour
    , depending on experience
