Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Licensed Part‑time Master Electrician for the DOE facility in Washington, DC. The Journeyman Electrician must have or be able to obtain an L‑level Security Clearance for this role. schedule:
Wednesday – Friday 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.
- Performs all electrical trade functions necessary to install, maintain
- Inspects, maintains, cleans, repairs, tests and adjusts a variety of electrical equipment to include motors, switch gear, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, switches, master clocks, and distribution panels.
- Perform preventive maintenance and service calls
- Perform inspections
- Supervise subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot
- Must have a current Master Electrician License (DC or MD)
- Must currently have or be able to obtain an L‑Level Security Clearance
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician
- Must have a general knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints
- Must have troubleshooting skill
- Must be able to work the schedule of Wednesday – Friday 3pm – 11pm
