Aerotek is currently hiring for a Maintenance Foreman in Washington D.C.! Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our expansive 1.2 million square foot facility. This role will involve managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the safety and functionality of the premises, and coordinating with external vendors for essential services.
ResponsibilitiesOversight of three maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure the health and safety of over 11 million guests annually and all facility staff.
Conduct daily facility inspections and facilitate work plans with staff.
Manage building and grounds maintenance, including custodial duties, sign management and replacement, and HVAC systems.
Create and maintain systems schedules for fire life safety, jetting/plumbing services, pest control, and more.
Reduce costs and improve efficiencies by reviewing staffing and product usage.
Direct, coordinate, and plan essential services required for the facility's proper operation, including liaising with outside vendors.
Confirm that work performed by staff and contractors is completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies.
Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise, resolving problems directly or coordinating with vendors.
Issue disciplinary actions and counseling as needed within the Facilities Management Department.
Experience in maintenance management and supervision.
Proficiency in plumbing, including using a snake and making minor repairs.
Basic electrical knowledge, such as replacing outlets and hanging conduit.
Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to change ballasts and use hand tools.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Strong leadership, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Team building techniques.
Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of maintenance experience.
1+ years of experience working in different weather conditions.
Ability to multitask and manage work order tickets.
Experience in parking garage maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Comfortable working at heights and operating sweeper/scrubber, forklift, boom lift, or scissor lift.

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a commercial setting with no specific certification, medical, DOT, licensing, or PPE requirements. The role may require working in various weather conditions and being on call for emergency snow removal.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
