Maintenance Mechanic (STE) – EMCOR Government Services, Inc.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Installs, services, and repairs environmental control units.
- Utilizes knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipe fitting and structural layout, mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor, using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, fabricates, assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment, and installs evaporator unit in chassis or in air‑duct system.
- Execute watch tours in a timely manner.
- Monitoring, maintenance, and repairs of the BMCS systems on the site.
- Troubleshooting of equipment on site.
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment on site.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment, machinery and components located in the interior or exterior of the building.
- Institute corrective action and/or inform supervisor on any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job.
- Provide reports and documentation of completed work.
- Monitor subcontractors, as assigned, in their task and provide reports when needed.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Must possess one or more of the following certifications:
- Technician Certification
- CFC Certification
- Five (5) or more years of experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial‑Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:
Chillers, Pumps, Control Systems, Air Handlers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, VAV's, VFD's. - Demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and specifications.
- Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of maintenance.
- Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of building air systems.
- Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs.)
- Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
- Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies, and/or parts.
- Manual dexterity and mobility.
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
