As part of our efforts to provide high quality products and exceptional service, JJM is looking to bring on board a certified DC Heavy Equipment Operator.

• Safely and skillfully operate various types of heavy equipment such as excavation equipment (mini ex, skid steer) and forklift.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks such as making simple adjustments, replacing minor parts, and lubricating equipment.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations by collaborating with team members to execute project plans effectively.
• Monitor site conditions and report any issues to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and site activities.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety policies and maintain PPE in a functional condition. Personal protective gear provided, with exception to work boots.

Must perform other general laborer duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must have experience operating an excavator proficiently (5 years preferred).
• Experience in plumbing and able to install pipe when not operating.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
• Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting.
• Requires regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather.
