Electronic System Security Jr. Technician Security Clearance

Who You Are:
Versar has a unique opportunity for self-motivated security professionals, able to work independently to meet deadlines and response times, and in support of important missions within the Federal Government. Versar requires highly skilled, full-time, professional Junior Security Technician. This position is contingent upon award.

• Assist with the design, procurement, logistics, installation, routine maintenance, sustainment, configuration, programming, and lifecycle replacement of PACS, IDS, VSS, and physical security systems within this contract, as well as the integration of other safety and security subsystems.
• Ensure equipment is updated and operational, meeting required local, state, federal, and ADA requirements.
• Assist with 3rd-party security system integrations and software updates and help train other personnel in the use of these systems.
• Assist with security assessments, technology upgrades, product selections, testing, field verification of systems and inspection of work in progress for compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Make recommendations for security equipment and systems.
• Assist with issuing, assigning access rights for access control cards and decommissioning of access control cards.
• Maintain inventory of essential parts and equipment to ensure repairs and installation in a timely manner.
• Ensure monitoring and timely resolution of service and repair issues. Maintain appropriate records as required.
• Create and run reports for ESS/physical security systems as required.
• Provide onsite ESS training of the customer personnel as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience working with security systems to include, service, and maintenance across a broad spectrum of PACS, IDS, and VSS.
• Requires a Top-Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of compliance with industry standards, policies, and guidelines such as physical and electronic security, access and key control, HSPD, NIST SP, FICAM, OMB, and ISC.
• Knowledge of other security disciplines and their relationship to the electronic and physical security program to respond to and troubleshoot system problems.
• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend technical language, read, and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrate the ability to exercise considerable judgement and initiative.
• Working knowledge of low voltage systems.
• Working knowledge of network principles.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation Expected Salary: $24.52 - $27.88 per hour. Versar Global Solutions provides the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.

Location Requirements:
The position will primarily work onsite in the Washington, DC metro area.
