Job SummarySecurity Officer (Guard) at Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. The role supports venue safety and security operations during events and regular hours.
What This Role Will Do- Responsible for the safety and security of patrons, employees, and assets.
- Conduct patrols of the building on a regular basis. Respond to all security and safety related calls in a timely manner.
- Set up, monitor, and breakdown equipment used for access control.
- Exhibit exemplary conduct and appearance while on duty.
- Perform access control, screening and bag checks.
- Comply with department performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
- Perform duties in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Monitor guests inside the venue during performances.
- Comply with all legal and ethical instructions from Security Supervisors and Venue Management.
- Adhere to Live Nation Global Security policies and department procedures.
- Investigate and file accurate incident reports.
- Complete tasks within guidelines and deadlines set by Security Supervisors or Venue Management.
- Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Valid DC Security Program ‘Guard Card’, or ability to acquire within 14 days of hire. Must maintain an active DC Security Officer (SO) License issued by DC DLCP.
- Preference given to current DC Guard Card holders who can transfer to Warner Theatre | Live Nation upon hire.
- Flexible schedules to include nights and weekends.
- Understanding that much of the work is outdoors; tolerate heat, cold, and other weather.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Tolerant of all cultures; understand the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
- Represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
- Ability to perform well in crises and under pressure without loss of composure.
- Ability to memorize, recollect, and retrieve information quickly.
- Ability to interact calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during tense situations.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp and drag.

CompensationThe expected compensation for this position in Washington, DC is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Pay is based on location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
