Position Summary

This position is zabeth's. Staff armed security posts and provide security for the personnel, property, and visitors of assigned US Government Property. May also work in a Control Center. This is a union position.

Pay Transparency

The Pay Rate is $40.96/hr.

Responsibilities

Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors.

Identify, report, delay, or detain persons who violate rules and regulations.

Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols, traffic control.

Maintain excellent detection rate on x-ray machines.

Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies.

Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company-issued cellular phone.

Understand and comply with all requirements defined within company documents including Post and General Orders, plans, policies, and procedures.

Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.

Wear protective body armor as part of the duty uniform.

Maintain training, physical fitness, agility requirements, and weapons qualifications.

Qualifications

Must have an active and verifiable NREMT License.

Be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with current or past service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Have a valid Social Security Card.

Verifiable documentation of at least one experience level and one educational level, such as:

At least two (2) years of armed security or law enforcement experience, or
Honorable service in any U.S. Armed forces component.

Educational qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent, or
At least 60 college credit hours in a related field, or
Completion of federal/state law enforcement training or police officer's standard training course.

Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write coherent reports in English.

Minimum age of 21 years.

Meet all contract requirements including medical, physical, drug screening, psychological, background check, training, and FPS suitability.

Secret Clearance preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

Work environment is busy with potential interruptions. Shifts may include day, swing, and overnight hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.

Visual and audio acuity for operating vehicles, heavy equipment, and firearms.

Outdoor conditions, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and hazards.

Fitting and wearing respirators may be required.

Stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, walk on uneven terrain.

Travel may be required.
