Territory Manager, Companion Animal – Washington, DC

Your Missions

Location: Washington, DC
Base Salary: $80,000 – $110,000
Commission: $0 – $70,000

Job Summary & Purpose

The Ceva Territory Manager is a vibrant, self‑motivated, results‑oriented sales driver. This position builds strong relationships with veterinary professionals, understands their needs, and provides solutions through Ceva’s product lines. Territory Managers exemplify customer passion, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and solidarity, driving consultative relationships that improve pet health across the nation.

Responsibilities & Key Duties
  • Prepare and execute the sales plan: manage priorities, conduct pre‑call planning, schedule appointments, and close business using Sales Force Effectiveness principles.
  • Develop a sales plan to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives, adapting as needed to ensure success and increase share of wallet.
  • Contribute to team effort by attaining related sales results and advocating strategic products.
  • Create confidence in Ceva’s product range and influence the entire healthcare team to recommend and sell Ceva products.
  • Resolve customer complaints, investigate problems, develop solutions, and recommend to management.
  • Attend local VMAs, Key Opinion Leader dinners, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Build long‑term strategic relationships with veterinarians and key decision makers within veterinary clinics.
  • Identify customer needs, provide solutions, and partner with Distribution Sales Representatives to maximize opportunities.
  • Collect and share market insights, recommend product changes, and report the general market environment.
  • Negotiate with key decision makers according to Ceva’s commercial policy.
  • Complete administrative and sales reporting duties, manage expense budgets, and maintain call notes in the CRM tool.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Work Experience: 3–10 years proven track record in outside sales, at minimum success in a fast‑paced business‑to‑business environment.

  • Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision‑making and tactical execution.
  • Follow‑through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets.
  • Highly focused and results‑oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues early.

Other: Must have an acceptable driving record and be willing and able to spend 8+ hours per day in a vehicle.

Physical Requirements

Travel by plane or car for up to 8 hours per day. Must read, speak, and understand English.

Working Conditions & Travel
  • Primary work location: sales calls within veterinary clinics, working around animals.
  • Overnight travel required; amount varies by territory.
