Strategic IntentThe person is responsible for the management of specific accounts within an assigned area. They will generate rooms business from existing and potential accounts, coordinating customer requirements with other departments to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and profitability for the hotel.
Organizational StructureThe Director of National Accounts will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
General Duties And Responsibilities- Explore new sources of business by developing new contacts. Seek and contact new potential clients through:
Direct inquires, Sales leads – local and overseas, Sales Blitz - Be responsible for room night and revenue production from allocated accounts.
- Entertain potential corporate companies and clients to ensure future business to the hotel.
- Monitor own accounts’ monthly production.
- Monitor competitors’ performance where it relates to their particular market segment.
- Update all Delphi Sales account profiles and contact people after every call to maintain a proper profile of all accounts.
- Attend daily sales briefings and weekly sales meetings.
- Participate in familiarization visits and entertain as and when required.
- Conduct on-site inspections for the existing or prospective travel influencers, decision makers and end users.
- Be aware of current market trends and supply competitor activity information to the Director of Group Sales.
- Participate in sales trips and maintain an accurate log of activity and expenses on all sales trips.
- Prepare weekly sales call reports.
- Distribute seasonal gifts to major supporters.
- Promote seasonal packages and any promotion to major supporters.
- Participate in any projects as assigned by the department head.
- Perform any other reasonable related duties as required by the department head.
- Minimum of 4+ years direct luxury hotel group sales management experience is required.
- Prior sales experience with key accounts within the US luxury hotel segment will be strongly favored.
- Computer proficiency is required; must possess experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, and Delphi. Must be familiar with booking software and travel industry software.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (both verbal and written).
- Must possess exceptionally strong and demonstrated presentation skills.
- Superior negotiation skills are required; must be able to persuade and influence key decision makers in the marketplace.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will accommodate the achievement of all business goals and directives.
