Brand Sales Specialist – Entry Level Sales Program 2026
Technology Sales at IBM is evolving its way of working to break beyond boundaries with innovative approaches. We are looking for recent graduates or early‑career sales professionals who combine technical interests and education with people skills to prospect and co‑create solutions with customers, partners, and colleagues on our clients’ most complex business challenges.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Sales Prospecting:
Apply IBM’s sales methodology to identify new clients and opportunities for expansion with existing clients through email, phone, video, and social media—including significant cold‑calling. - Education and Enablement:
Complete a 6‑week Global Sales School training (virtual) and an additional 2+ weeks of in‑person, hands‑on training to build product knowledge and sales expertise. - Building Credibility and Trust:
Use consultative methods internally and externally to facilitate the closure of highly complex deals. - Solution‑Selling Expertise in Business Development:
Identify and engage decision‑makers and influencers, assess business opportunities, and address clients’ requirements to build strategic partnerships. - Account Planning and Business Value Articulation:
Manage a dedicated client portfolio and convey IBM’s technology value at both technical and business levels. - End‑to‑End Sales Process Management:
Own the complete sales process, including RFI/RFP response preparation, and achieve KPIs with a focus on new business sales while supporting existing accounts. - Collaboration Across IBM Sales Ecosystem:
Work with marketing, sales, technical colleagues, and Business Partners to develop sales campaigns and expand the pipeline.
- Confidence to contact and engage potential new customers and deliver an elevated experience.
- Motivation to achieve sales, business objectives and high client satisfaction.
- Aptitude to utilize selling technologies to network, engage clients, and identify new business opportunities.
- Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset.

- Readiness to travel up to 20%.
Associate’s Degree or College Diploma.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise- Technical
Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar technical discipline. - Client Focused:
Ask open‑ended questions and understand needs to address business challenges. - Tech Savvy:
Conversant about technology, latest industry trends, and how they are applied to solve business challenges. - Team Player:
Demonstrates collaboration and navigates different communication styles. - Excellent Communication
Skills:
Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that are engaging, compelling, and influential. - Self‑Starter:
Motivated to work with clients and lead projects independently.
- Programming coursework or experience is a plus.
